Terms of Service

Eligibility & Access

  • Fuel Up Funding is available to South African citizens and legal immigrants who are actively registered on a recognised e-hailing platform operating in South Africa.
  • To access the platform, you must complete sign-up, verify your email address, and successfully complete the onboarding process before any application can be submitted.
  • All applications must be submitted through the platform. We do not accept applications or requests via email, phone call, or WhatsApp under any circumstances.
  • You must provide accurate, truthful, and up-to-date information during registration and onboarding. Inaccurate information may result in your application being declined or account action.
  • Fuel Up Funding reserves the right to decline access to any individual who does not meet the eligibility requirements, at its reasonable discretion.

Use of the Platform

  • You agree to use the platform solely for its intended purpose, which is to apply for and manage short-term fuel loans as a registered e-hailing driver.
  • All actions on the platform must be performed in good faith. Misuse, manipulation, or exploitation of platform features or processes is strictly prohibited.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your registered Fuel Up Funding account.
  • Access to the platform is granted on a personal, non-transferable basis. Sharing, lending, or allowing others to access your account is not permitted.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if we determine that the platform is being used in a manner inconsistent with these Terms of Service.

Loan Terms & Fees

  • Short-term loans are available between R100 and R500, subject to eligibility and approval. The approved amount may differ from the amount requested and will be communicated in advance.
  • All loans carry a total cost of 25%, comprising a 10% interest component, a 10% administration fee, and a 5% transaction fee applied to the approved loan amount.
  • Repayment is due on your next payday following disbursement. Your exact repayment amount and due date are always displayed on the Settlement page within the platform.
  • After 12 successful repayments, you become eligible to apply for a maximum loan of R500, subject to continued eligibility and assessment at the time of application.
  • Fuel Up Funding reserves the right to revise loan amounts, fee structures, or repayment terms at any time. All changes will be communicated to users in advance.

Prohibited Conduct

  • Submitting fraudulent, falsified, or misrepresented documents or information is a serious offence regarded as premeditated fraud and will be reported to the relevant South African authorities.
  • Attempting to manipulate, exploit, or circumvent platform systems, processes, or decision-making mechanisms is strictly prohibited and may result in permanent account termination.
  • Colluding with any other party, including platform staff, to gain an unfair advantage or to cause financial harm to Fuel Up Funding constitutes criminal conduct and will be acted upon.
  • Any conduct that could bring the platform into disrepute, harm other users, or violate South African law is grounds for immediate account suspension and potential legal action.
  • Fuel Up Funding reserves the right to pursue civil or criminal action against any user whose conduct causes financial, reputational, or operational harm to the platform.

Account Management

  • You may update your personal information through your account profile. All update requests are subject to review and must be supported by valid documentation before approval.
  • You may request deactivation of your account at any time by contacting us. Please note that certain records may be retained to meet legal, regulatory, or financial obligations.
  • Your account may be suspended or blocked if suspicious activity is detected, if you are found to have violated these Terms of Service, or if required by applicable law.
  • You are responsible for keeping your contact details, banking information, and profile up to date. Outdated information may affect your ability to apply for or receive a loan.
  • In the event of a dispute regarding your account, you agree to engage with Fuel Up Funding in good faith and to resolve the matter through the appropriate platform channels.

Legal & Governing Law

  • These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any disputes arising from your use of the platform are subject to South African jurisdiction.
  • Fuel Up Funding is committed to operating in compliance with applicable South African legislation, including FICA and POPIA, as they apply to our platform and services.
  • We reserve the right to amend these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the platform following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
  • If any provision of these Terms of Service is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply in full and without limitation.
  • These Terms of Service represent the complete agreement between you and Fuel Up Funding regarding your use of the platform and supersede any prior understandings.

These Terms of Service work together with our Privacy Policy.
